According to the US Department of Justice, Neumayer attempted an arson attack using Molotov cocktails and made online violent threats against Americans and US President Donald Trump.

The suspect fled after leaving the bag behind.

Neumayer arrived in Israel last month and went to the US embassy in Tel Aviv last week. According to Justice Department officials, he fought with a security guard outside the building and when the guard tried to grab him, he dropped the bag and fled.

The Justice Department said he posted on social media: “Join me in burning down the embassy in Tel Aviv.” Death to America, death to Americans, and shame to the West. He also threatened to kill Donald Trump in a separate post. Neumayer has claimed on his social media that he is the founder and CEO of a company called Atlas Light Company, although it is not clear what the company does.
