Canada News: Khalistan referendum event canceled in Surrey school, know the reason

  Canada News: The Surrey School District announced Sunday that it has canceled the Sept. 10 Khalistan Referendum event at Tamanwis Secondary School, 12600 66th Ave., due to images of weapons on posters placed by administrators. The poster bears the name Sikhs for Justice and features the image of Talwinder Singh Parmar, who was identified as the mastermind of the 1985 Air India bombings in an official inquiry led by former Supreme Court judge John Major. Parmar was captured by the Indian police in 1992 and allegedly executed. The poster also features a picture of Hardeep Singh Nijhar, who was shot dead in the parking lot of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib in Surrey on June 18 this year. was shot dead, where he was serving as president. "Earlier today, our district canceled the community rent of one of our schools for violating our rent agreement," said Ritinder Mathews, associate director of communications for the Surrey School Board. Promotional material for the program included pictures of weapons as well as photos of our school. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, event organizers failed to remove the images, and the content continued to be posted in Surrey and on social media.
