Air India flight was about to land in Israel, Yemen fired a missile just then; Flights from Tel Aviv cancelled till May 6

  An Air India flight from New Delhi to the Israeli city of Tel Aviv was diverted to Abu Dhabi. In fact, shortly before the flight landed, a missile attack took place near the Tel Aviv airport.

It is being told that the attack was carried out from Yemen. Air India flight AI139 was less than an hour away from reaching Tel Aviv. Then a missile fired from Yemen fell near the airport.

Flights to Delhi have also been canceled
According to information available on the flight tracking website Flightradar24.com, the flight was in Jordanian airspace when it was decided to divert to Abu Dhabi. An Air India flight from Tel Aviv to Delhi on Sunday has been canceled due to the missile attack.

A statement has been issued by Air India. Air traffic at Tel Aviv airport was briefly suspended after a missile fired from Yemen fell near the Tel Aviv airport.

The airline issued a statement

"Following an incident at Ben Gurion Airport this morning, Air India flight AI139 from Delhi to Tel Aviv was diverted to Abu Dhabi on May 4, 2025," an Air India spokesperson said. The flight landed normally in Abu Dhabi and will return to Delhi shortly.

In addition, to ensure the safety of our customers and employees, our flights from Tel Aviv will be suspended with immediate effect until May 6, 2025. Our staff on the ground are assisting customers and helping them make alternative arrangements.
