Ukraine-Russia War: Ukraine Launches Over a Thousand Drones at Russia

  The Ukrainian military launched an overnight attack on Russia using more than a thousand drones. Hundreds of these drones were directed at the capital, Moscow. This attack took place on the third and final day of parliamentary elections in Russia. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin described it as the largest drone attack on the capital to date, noting that the assault damaged an oil refinery and a residential building in Moscow, although the adversary failed to disrupt the elections. According to Governor Andrei Vorobyov, a 74-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman, and one other person died in the attack, while 20 others were injured.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on social media that Ukrainian-made missiles and drones—including the 'Flamingo' and 'Pelican' models—were used to target Russian oil and supply centers. The aim of these attacks is to exert financial pressure on Russia's economy.
