Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, president of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, said that the wounds of the massacre of Sikhs by the then government in November 1984 in different parts of the country, including Delhi, are still sore and it is sad that even after more than four decades, the victimized Sikh families could not get justice. Meanwhile, Harjinder Singh Dhami paid respect to the Sikhs killed during the Sikh massacre. Advocate Dhami said that in November 1984, the inhuman oppression of the Sikhs was carried out on the Sikhs for about a week from November 1, 1984. It was such an act against humanity, which shocked the sensitive people of the entire world. He said that this massacre of Sikhs is a stain on the forehead of India, the world's largest democracy. He said that the people responsible for this massacre should have been punished according to the law, but unfortunately, instead of giving justice, the Congress always shielded the leaders facing the charges and rewarded them with high political positions. He said that as soon as the month of November comes, the old wounds of the families of the massacre victims and the entire Sikh community become green again. It is the responsibility of governments to take concrete steps to bring justice to the victims and punish those responsible for the massacre. Advocate Dhami said that this fight for justice is not only for the victims' families, but also for human rights, democratic values and trust in the justice system. Until the culprits are punished for what they have done, the hearts of the victims' families will not rest. The Shiromani Committee president said that the Sikh community can never forget this painful tragedy and commemorates it every year. In this regard, tomorrow, November 2, prayers will be offered in the name of the martyrs after enjoying Akhand Path in the Sri Darbar Sahib group.
