Three Indian sailors have been confirmed dead in the attack on the commercial ship 'MT Settebello' off the coast of Oman near the Strait of Hormuz. Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, Forward Seamen Union of India (FSUI) General Secretary Manoj Yadav has made a major claim that the US naval forces had '101% knowledge' about the nationality of the crew on board the ship. Forward Seamen Union of India General Secretary Manoj Yadav said that contact with the ship has been severely lost and the details are still being verified. All the three sailors killed in the US attack were from different states of India. He said, "All three are from Himachal Pradesh, Deoria (Uttar Pradesh) and Andhra Pradesh." The Seamen's Union of India (FSUI) has said that the names of the sailors killed in the attack by the US on Tuesday are Aditya Sharma (deck cadet), Shivanand Chaurasia (engine fitter) and Patnala Suresh (chief engineer). Did the US know who was on board the ship? Forward Seamen's Union of India General Secretary Manoj Yadav said that I absolutely refuse to believe that the US was not aware of the nationality of the people on board those ships. I am 101% sure that the US Navy knew exactly how many Indian and foreign nationals were on those ships. If the ships did not follow their instructions, then detaining them was the right option. Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Monday condemned the attack on the vessel MT Setebelo off the coast of Oman, saying that 21 of the 24 Indian crew members on board the vessel have been rescued, while three Indians are still missing. Our Embassy in Oman is closely monitoring the situation and is actively coordinating with the Omani authorities in the ongoing search and rescue operation.
