The Indian women's cricket team met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday after winning the World Cup. They were accompanied by head coach Amol Mazumdar and BCCI president Mithun Manhas. In a video of the interaction shared by the Prime Minister on Thursday, captain Harmanpreet Kaur said, "I still remember when we met you in 2017. At that time, we did not bring any trophy. But it is a matter of great pride for us that this time, for which we have been working hard for so many years, we have brought that trophy here." When India's women cricketers sat down with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a pleasant chat at his residence, their impressive World Cup-winning campaign was not the only topic on their minds. Tattoos and even skin care routines were also discussed. Prime Minister Modi replied, "You have done a great job. Cricket is not just a game in India. In a way, it has become the life of the people of India. If something good happens in cricket, India feels good and if something even slightly wrong happens in cricket, the whole of India feels bad." The Prime Minister then asked 'Player of the Tournament' Deepti Sharma about her Hanuman tattoo, which had gone viral on social media. Meanwhile, top-order batsman Harleen Deol asked Modi about his skin care routine and the entire hall erupted in laughter. To this, the Prime Minister laughed heartily and replied, "I don't think about all this."
