  Taipei: Strong earthquake shocks were felt in Taiwan on Wednesday morning. This earthquake was so strong that many buildings in the southern city collapsed. The Taiwan Meteorological Agency said the earthquake measured 7.4 on the Richter scale. Pictures of damaged cars and broken roofs have emerged in many places due to the earthquake. According to the information received, four people have been killed and more than 50 injured so far due to the strong tremors of the earthquake. Taiwan's Earthquake Monitoring Agency put the magnitude at 7.2, while the US Geological Survey put it at 7.4. Wu Chien-fu, head of Taiwan's Earthquake Monitoring Bureau, said the impact was felt as far off the coast of China as far as the island of Kinmen, controlled by Taiwan. Many buildings collapsed due to the strong tremors of the earthquake The earthquake was so powerful that a five-story building in sparsely populated Hualien was severely damaged, with the first floor completely collapsed and the rest tilted at a 45-degree angle.
