Canada News: 52 kilos of cocaine recovered from an Indian-origin driver in Canada

  Toronto: The Ontario police of Canada recovered 52 kg of cocaine from a truck driver of Indian origin this month. Manpreet Singh, a resident of Brampton, was arrested by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in this case. He has been accused of importing cocaine and handling it for the purpose of trafficking. According to the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA), Manpreet Singh's truck entered Ontario from Point Edward. When he was investigated, the authorities allegedly recovered 52 kg of suspected cocaine. The CBSA arrested him on December 4 and handed him over to the Royal Canadian Police. His case is now in court. According to the police, from January to October 31, 2023, CBSA has seized more than 1300 kg of narcotics in the Southern Ontario area.
