Toronto: Canada has welcomed India's decision to resume some visa services in Canada. Canada's Immigration Minister Mark Miller said the move was a good sign after a worrying period amid diplomatic row. He said that the services should not have been suspended. Another Minister of Canada, Harjit Singh Sajjan, said that the resumption of the visa process is good news. Global Affairs Canada (GAC), the department that manages Canada's diplomatic and consular relations, spokeswoman Marilyn Guermont told CBC News that the GAC is aware of India's decision to resume certain categories of visas for Canadians. There are important relations between the people of Canada and India. This decision will make it easier for people's families to travel between the two countries. Canada-India Business Counselor has also welcomed this decision. The High Commissioner of India in Canada said on Wednesday that entry visa, business visa, medical visa and conference visa services will be resumed from October 26. New Delhi suspended visa services for Canadian citizens after PM Justin Trudeau's allegations of possible involvement of Indian agents in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijhar.
