Agneepath scheme: Agneepath scheme is in national interest, Delhi High Court dismisses challenging petitions

New Delhi - The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed the petitions challenging the central government's Agnipath scheme. A bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramaniam Prasad approved the central government's plan and refused to grant relief to the petitioners. The bench also said that there was no reason to interfere with the scheme. The court had reserved the verdict on December 15 last year after hearing all the parties. Agneepath Yojana is in national interest The Chief Bench also dismissed the petitions seeking shift and recruitment in defense services as per previous recruitment scheme. The court said the plan was made in the national interest and to ensure that the armed forces are better equipped.
