109 crore rupees for uninterrupted power supply will be a strong infrastructure in Dimpa

  A special meeting of the District Electricity Committee was held today at the District Administrative Complex under the leadership of Member of Parliament from Lok Sabha constituency Khadur Sahib Jasbir Singh Gill Dimpa and Deputy Commissioner Rishipal Singh. During this meeting, Member of Parliament Jasbir Singh Dimpa informed that the infrastructure will be strengthened at a cost of 109 crore rupees for uninterrupted supply of electricity in the district. He said that 60 percent of the amount for this work will be provided by the Central Government and 40 percent by the Punjab Government. He said that under this scheme, a power house will be built at village Dhardyo. Apart from this, new transformers of 20 MW will be installed in the power houses built at focal points Tarn Taran, Jhabal, Kacha Pakka and Amarkot. He said that under this scheme, old wires and cables will be replaced with new thick cables and wires and these works will be completed in 2 months. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Rishipal Singh ordered the concerned officials to ensure timely completion of the works to be done under this scheme so that the people of the district can get uninterrupted and continuous supply of electricity.
