Chandigarh: Taking a strong notice of the absurd statements made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his visit to the state, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday sarcastically said that before making such baseless statements, Rahul should throw his stick under his generation. The Chief Minister said that Rahul Gandhi has no moral right to say anything about democracy or democratic values. Bhagwant Mann reminded the successor of the Gandhi family that he was elected Chief Minister by the people of Punjab, who had given a big fatwa in favor of his party. He said that Rahul Gandhi made Charanjit Singh Channi the Chief Minister, while I was elected by the people to serve. The Chief Minister told Rahul Gandhi that incomplete information is always dangerous and this is proved by his baseless statements during the tour in the state. He reminded the Congress leader that his party has done great damage to democracy by making Chief Ministers dance like puppets. Bhagwant Mann said that the Member of Parliament should look within himself before making any statement on this issue. The Chief Minister said that Rahul Gandhi himself had humiliated Captain Amarinder Singh about a year ago by removing him from the post of Chief Minister. He further said that it is also ironic that the present state Congress President is being insulted by pushing during the ongoing journey, which is actually nothing more than a dirty move by the Congress leader to grab headlines in the media. Bhagwant Mann said that Congress leaders have forgotten that their family's hands are stained with the murder of democracy in the country and people will never forgive them for this crime.
