Punjab Assembly Monsoon Session: Preparations to convene monsoon session in first week of August!

Punjab Assembly Monsoon Session: The monsoon session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha is likely to be held in the first week of August. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann may share information about the monsoon session in a day or two. According to important sources, the Punjab government is in the mood to convene a week-long session and plans are being made to conclude this session before August 15. Earlier, there were talks that a special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha may be convened.

Discussions on agendas begin
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has started discussions for the monsoon session and the business to be brought in the session is being discussed. In this session, the agenda of amending the Jagat Jyot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Satkar (Amendment) Act 2026 is likely to come up. On June 29, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, ordered that the Act be amended within a month.
