White House Shooting: Suspect in shooting at checkpoint near White House dies in police attack

  White House Shooting: A sensational case of indiscriminate firing by an armed man at a security checkpoint near the US Presidential Palace ‘White House’ on Saturday evening has come to light, who died at the hands of the police in retaliation. According to a statement issued by the US Secret Service, the said attacker approached the checkpoint located at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, very close to the White House. He suddenly took out a gun from his bag and started firing at the security personnel posted there. In retaliation, Secret Service officers also opened fire on the suspect, in which he was seriously injured and was declared dead after being taken to the hospital.

A passerby was also injured in the shooting, although it is not yet clear whether he was shot by the attacker or during police retaliatory firing. According to security agencies, no police or security personnel were injured in the incident and President Donald Trump was inside the White House at the time of the incident, and is completely safe.
