Help has started reaching Indians stranded in Nepal, Air India and IndiGo will bring Indians stranded at Kathmandu Airport

  Hundreds of Indian passengers are stranded at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu due to the violent agitation in Nepal for the last two days. In this regard, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation has ordered India's private airlines, Air India and IndiGo, to start action to evacuate Indians from the Kathmandu Airport.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has said that additional flights are being operated from Wednesday evening in collaboration with Air India and IndiGo to bring back Indian passengers. These flights will run for the next few days. Along with this, there is a possibility of normalization of pre-scheduled flight services from Thursday. Naidu also said that airlines have been asked to keep the fares of flights balanced and try not to increase it.

At the same time, the Ministry of External Affairs has advised Indian pilgrims traveling to Mansarovar via Nepal to be especially vigilant. In view of the current situation in Nepal, a warning has been issued to pilgrims going to Mansarovar through private tour operators. The Indian Embassy in Beijing has also issued a notice in this regard, in which Indians stranded in the Chinese-occupied Tibet region have been advised to be vigilant. The Mansarovar pilgrimage is organized in this region.

The pilgrims have been advised to take care of their health and safety and have also been advised to follow the social media handles of the local administration as well as the Indian Embassy in Beijing, so that they can keep informed about external activities. In case of any emergency, it has also been advised to contact the Indian Embassy in Beijing and Kathmandu.

In this regard, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that information has been received about the viral video of some Indians stranded in Pokhara city of Nepal and the Indian Embassy has contacted these people on Wednesday. An Indian girl named Upasana Gill had sought help, informing that she was stranded there. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has provided her with help. Meanwhile, various state governments have issued helpline numbers to evacuate their residents stranded in Nepal.
