AAP Protest in Chandigarh: Police Detain AAP Leaders Demonstrating in Support of CJP

  The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken to the streets in support of the CJP (Citizens for Justice and Peace), which is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Today, AAP Punjab staged a protest outside the office of Punjab's Chief Electoral Officer in Sector 17, Chandigarh. Senior AAP Punjab leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, along with Punjab Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and a large number of other AAP leaders, arrived at the venue. They raised slogans against the BJP government at the Centre and demanded the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Meanwhile, the Chandigarh Police detained the protesting AAP leaders and took them to the Sector 17 police station.
