The US has attacked bridges, power plants and other sites in Iran. Tehran has retaliated by targeting power and water treatment plants in Kuwait. Iran has warned of expanding its attacks in the Gulf countries. Meanwhile, Kuwait has activated its air defense system on Sunday morning in view of the threat of drones and missiles coming from Iran. The US military's Central Command said in a statement that it targeted Iranian military coastal surveillance and air defense sites, maritime capabilities and missile and drone sites. The command said it targeted the Revolutionary Guards for the first time, which is a key center of power in Iran and controls its ballistic missile arsenal. Footage released by the US military shows fighter jets carrying out strikes and firing Tomahawk cruise missiles from the sea.
