Five ballistic missiles were shot down by Ukrainian air defense systems during overnight strikes by Russia, while the remaining missiles and drones managed to hit the capital Kiev. The Ukrainian Air Force gave this information. This is the first time in almost two weeks that Ukraine has claimed to have shot down Russian ballistic missiles, which are difficult to intercept with drones and cruise missiles. Mayor Vitaly Kitsyako said that two warehouses caught fire due to the attack while a school building was damaged. Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that military equipment manufacturing facilities in the Ukrainian capital were targeted. The Ukrainian Air Force said that one ballistic missile and 25 drones attacked 17 locations, while debris was reported to have fallen at 10 locations. Meanwhile, Ukraine has targeted several locations in Russia, including oil depots. Local officials said that the attack in the Krasnodar region of southern Russia caused a fire at the Afipsky oil refinery, which was later extinguished. Bashkortostan's head R. Khabirov confirmed the attack in an industrial area in Salavat. On the other hand, the Russian Defense Ministry said that its defense systems have shot down 288 Ukrainian drones in various regions of Russia.
