Pakistani Defence Minister calls POK protesters 'enemies' like India; refuses to hold talks

Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has termed protesters in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as "enemies" like India and said there will be no talks with them.

Meanwhile, the death toll in clashes between protesters and security forces in PoK rose to 20 on Wednesday.

The banned Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) said on Wednesday that at least 20 of its workers have been killed and many injured in clashes with security forces in PoK since Monday.

However, officials questioned the death toll, accusing the protesters of opening fire on the security forces.

On the other hand, Khawaja Asif told reporters on Tuesday, "There will be no talks with the protesters. I consider them in the category of India and consider them enemies of Pakistan."
