Pakistan carried out airstrikes targeting terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan: Report

Pakistan has carried out fresh air strikes targeting militant hideouts in Afghanistan, casting doubt on the talks that are taking place amid a fragile ceasefire between the two sides.
The attacks followed an attack by militants on a military base in North Waziristan, Dawn reported on Saturday. This came hours after Islamabad and Kabul extended their two-day ceasefire.

While there was no immediate comment from the Pakistan military, the Hafiz Gul Bahadur faction of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the Friday morning attack on Mir Ali’s Khadi fort.
